Share a routine on Explore

Publish one of your Toone routines, or a bundle of them, to Explore: Toone prepares a private-data-free copy and listing page, then sends it for review.

What sharing does

Sharing publishes a routine you built to Explore, where other Toone users can add it to their own organization. Toone never edits your routine. It prepares a separate public copy in which your personal files become placeholders that each person fills in, and your personal details are replaced. Every submission then goes through review before it appears on Explore.

Share routines that already run reliably. If yours is still new, run it a few times first with Run and debug a routine.

You need to be signed in to share.

1. Start from the routine

In the right panel, open the Organization tab. Right-click the routine and choose Share….

2. Choose what to share

Toone asks What would you like to share?

  • Share this routine publishes it as one listing. Its sub-routines travel with it.
  • Create a routine bundle lets you pick other routines to publish together. Each routine is reviewed on its own, and the bundle goes live once all of them are approved. For each routine you can also choose to list it on its own, so it appears by itself in Explore as well as inside the bundle.
  • Share an update sends a new version of a routine you have already shared.

Choose Continue. A Share assistant opens in chat. It prepares everything and asks only for what it needs.

3. Answer the Share assistant

A checklist card shows the listing coming together, from the shared copy and safety checks through the title, category, public page and cover. The assistant will:

  • suggest a title for you to confirm, and for a bundle, ask which routines to include and what to call it;
  • ask, for any well-known site the routine works with, whether to name it on the page or keep the routine generic;
  • write the category, audiences and public page, which you can ask it to change in the chat;
  • create a cover image, or ask you to choose one with Choose cover image… if it can't.

Toone also checks the copy for secrets, private data and unsafe instructions. Anything it finds has to be resolved before the listing can be submitted.

4. Confirm and submit

When the card reads Ready — waiting for your confirmation, Toone asks whether to share the routine with the public page and cover shown on the card. Choose Yes, share it to submit it, or Not yet to stop. By confirming, you state that you have the right to share its agents, Skills and included files.

Listings are free. Paid listings aren't available yet.

5. Follow the review

The card changes to Submitted for review. Toone emails you when your submission has been reviewed. To check on it any time, open Explore in the app and switch to My submissions. Each item shows its status, and a rejected item includes the reviewer's note. The routine's row in your organization also shows a status such as In review or Shared.

Once approved, the listing is public on Explore and anyone can add it by following Import a routine from Explore. Choose Copy link in My submissions to send someone straight to it.

Update or withdraw a listing

  • Update: choose Share update in My submissions, or Share an update from the routine's Share… menu. The current version stays live until the update is approved.
  • Rejected: fix what the reviewer's note describes, then choose Re-share.
  • Withdraw: while a submission is still in review, choose Withdraw… to take it back.

Once a listing is approved you can't unpublish it yourself. Contact Toone if you need it removed.

Other ways to reuse a routine

To keep a private variant inside your own organization instead of publishing it, right-click the routine and choose Branch Routine…. Toone doesn't currently export routines to a file.
